From customs files to a declaration-ready report in four steps
1
Prints from SKAT's DMS or e-Told, Excel or CSV, and SKAT's monthly settlement statement for the acceptance dates. Many files at once.
2
Scope check against the official goods list, the 50-tonne status, default values with their mark-up, the free allocation and the certificate price of the quarter.
3
CBAM Wise shows which suppliers matter most and sends each a secure link. Verified data replaces the default value, usually for less.
4
Every figure with its rule, reference data version and source, ready for your CBAM declaration and your auditor.

In 2026 the CBAM factor is 97.5%, so many expect to pay for 2.5% of their emissions. But the 97.5% applies to the EU benchmark of the good, not to your emissions. Default values are much higher than the benchmark, and they carry a mark-up, so most of the emissions still need certificates.

An importer whose CBAM goods (cement, iron and steel, aluminium, fertilisers) stay at or below 50 tonnes net in a calendar year is exempt for that year. The 50 tonnes are counted per importer, across all its imports of the year. Electricity and hydrogen have no exemption. Above 50 tonnes, every tonne of the year counts, and you must be an authorised CBAM declarant.
Yes. The old 150-euro exemption was removed, so low-value consignments declared with an H7 declaration count toward the 50 tonnes and the declaration. H7 declarations often show only the gross mass and a 6-digit code; CBAM Wise uses the gross mass as net mass in that case and marks it.
Without data from the producer, you use the Commission's default values, plus a mark-up of 10% in 2026, 20% in 2027 and 30% from 2028 (fertilisers 1%). Verified actual data from the installation usually gives lower emissions, and no mark-up. You choose per supplier and good.
Certificates go on sale on 1 February 2027 on the Common Central Platform. Certificates for 2026 imports are priced per quarter; from 2027 the price is weekly. From 2027 you must hold certificates for at least 50% of the year's emissions so far at each quarter end, and surrender them with the declaration by 30 September of the following year.
The specific embedded emissions of each good per installation and reporting period (direct, and indirect where it counts), the production route, and from 2026 a verification report from an accredited verifier. Most send the Commission's communication template; CBAM Wise reads it and asks only for what is missing.
